Zombie Gunship Survival Immersive 360 video campaign.

The Challenge.

In September 2015 Facebook launched 360 virtual video production, which allow the viewer to interact with the screen to switch the angle of the camera as the video plays. This allows for a unique viewing experience which encourages the viewer to watch the video more than once, and this is heightened even further by using Oculus Rift or Samsung Gear VR.

We were challenged with the task of producing the world's first high production value narrative using 360 virtual video production, for the Facebook campaign launch of the brand new game app Zombie Gunship.

The Solution.

We worked closely with the game agency to create an original and engaging live action 360 experience, unlike anything which had come before it. We casted over 30 actors and extras, worked with three special effects makeup artists to transform our zombie cast, and sourced a world-famous location which was used in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Our film director and creative director worked closely alongside the client to choreograph the one-shot action sequence. We were able to review the 360 experience live with the use of an Oculus headset, which benefitted the process hugely.
